Question by runnercaiti1: Renting a car for the first time- do I have to buy insurance bc my personal car insurance is not in my name?
My car and car insurance are under my fiancees name. I will be renting a car on my own. Do I have to buy the insurance because it’s not in my name?

Car Rental will include a charge for insurance in the Rental Company’s name – they own it, not you.

They’ll also try to sell you extra insurance called a ‘CD Waiver’ – up to you whether you take it or not, but it’s not compulsory.
